DAVID 380

David380Isn't it amazing how the concept of "muscular" has changed over the decades? Just over a century ago, a big, burly man was considered the epitome of manliness. A few decades later, the idea of actually exercising to develop the muscles was born. In those days, however, the small waist was not the goal. The idea was to develop every muscle, and so the "physique exhibitionists" and circus strongmen of the day were built to display muscular size. Proportions, balance, symmetry, and aesthetics had not been realized yet. The men of that era were considered to have developed themselves to the utmost in musculature, but I wonder what they would have thought if they had walked into an auditorium to watch a physique exhibition and saw a circus strongman like this?

By the way, David 381 has already been posted, but it features David and Diana so you'll have to make sure that your gallery preferences are set so you can view "Male/Female duo" images.

And don't forget to visit "Blue Eyed Beast", David's store at CafePress.
